Tasmanian Devils in pre mating rituals, Valentine's Day 2008 2

Captive Tasmanian Devils get sexy at Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park, near Taranna, Tasmania, Australia. This young male and female were going through the pre mating motions, wrestling, biting, snarling. I don't think they actually copulated while I was there, but it was a close run thing - the male did sit on the female. ....Most of the devils I photographed over the last week were either recovering from injuries, or orphans, seperated from parents suffering from the Tasmanian Devil Facial Tumor Disease, which is a contagious cancer.
