Marsh's Library, Dublin

Dublin's earliest public library, dating to 1701, and built by Archbishop Narcissus Marsh. Designed by Sir William Robinson, the Surveyor General of Ireland. The building holds some 25,000 books, many of which pre-date 1700. Inside, it is a perfect 17th century scholar's library, with cages to lock the readers in!....The library is said to be haunted by the ghost of Archbishop Marsh.
