..The strangest town in Alaska, Whittier - only reachable by tunnel or ship. It's a stop off point for Cruise ships, and the Alaska raildroad. 90% of inhabitants live in one building! Originally established as a military base during World War two.....Reflection in sea water pool, Whittier, Alaska, destination for cruisee ships. The large square building you can see is the Buckner Building, - "A city under one roof". Built in 1953, this derelict building was abandoned but can't be demolished due to the amount of asbestos inside. It was damaged by earthquake in 1964.
