Blue iceberg, Magdalenefjorden, Svalbard
Magdalenefjorden, and 8km long, 5km wide fjord on the west coast of Spitsbergen, in the Arctic archipelego of Svalbard. Large cruise ships regularly enter the fjord which is in Northwest Spitsbergen National Park. However, heavy fuel oil, which is used in many ships, is banned in Magdalenefjorden and in other parts of Svalbard. However, Magdalenefjorden is regarded as having being sacrificed to tourism to protect other areas of Svalbard. This mage can be licensed via Millennium Images.
