Inishmore, Aran Islands
The imposing Dun Aengus Stone Fort, Inishmore, the Aran Islands, off Ireland's west coast. The fort is preched on a windswept 100-metre high cliff above the Atlantic waves. Thought to date to the 2nd century BC, it is surrounded by cheval de frise defences.
