Fastnet Rock
Fastnet lighthouse, as seen from the rocks of Cape Clear Island, Ireland's most southerly inhabited island, off the coast of Co. Cork. The Fastnet rock is Ireland's most southerly point, 13km off the mainland. The current lighthouse came into service in 1904, and is nearly 50m above the high water mark - although it was struck by a rogue wave, some 48m in height.
