Vesle Tavleøya and Rossøya, Svalbard
The fogbound, Arctic island of Vesle Tavleøya or Little Table Island, and the skerry Rossøya, or Ross Island, in the Sjuøyane archipelago, northeastern Svalbard. Rossøya is named after the explorer James Clark Ross, who explored the area wiht William Parry in 1827. Parryøya is 1000km from the North Pole, and 1600km north of the Arctic Circle.
