Parhelion, or sundog
Parhelion, or sundog near Nuugaatsiaq, West Greenland. Sundogs are created by hexagonal shaped plates of ice crystals found in high and cold cirrus clouds and also in cold weather by ice crystals known as diamond dust drifting in the air at low altitudes.
